So… the Black Widow movie.
You may recall there’s been talk that the upcoming Black Widow movie starring Scarlett Johansson might be an r-rated adventure (we speculated here that while we weren’t convinced it could open new avenues for the MCU).
Well, the big man on campus at Marvel/Disnet, Kevin Feige has laid that talk to rest.
Recently asked if the rumours of it being a more adult outing for the character could be finally laid to rest, Feige replied: “Yes. Correct.
“It never was going to be,” he added.
“Somebody writes, ‘I hear it’s R-rated!’ And then everybody writes it up.”
The movie will see Johansson return as the character and is expected to be directed by Cate Shortland on a script from Jac Schaeffer – although we’re hearing the script is being extensively rewritten as we speak, with many – prior to this new report – believing it was to get rid of the adult material included in the script.
Whatever the case, we can expect to see her appear solo in 2020 at some point.
