We’ve pondered for a while if The Guardians of the Galaxy and Spider-man would be in Avenegers: Infinity War (although, we knew they would be).

And now we seem to have confirmation.

Speaking to the Italian Vogue, actor Tom Holland said that he is indeed set for the two-part adventure. The Spider-man/Peter Parker actor said he was nominated for the role by Iron Man and Captain America actors Robert Downey Jnr and Chris Evans: “The approval for the role in Spider-Man arrives personally also by Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans ‘They who convinced the Marvel: the producers wanted to be sure that I was the right person before entrusting three films over the next four years, including Avengers: Infinity War.'”

So there you have it, ol’ web head will face Thanos with the Avengers.

And now, also with the Guardians.

Speaking with MTV News, Gamorra actress Zoe Saldana said there’s a script but she hasn’t read it yet but she WILL be in it: “I don’t know when they’re gonna let me read it. I mean, I’m not looking forward to the five hours of green make-up, but every time I finally arrive on set I feel so happy and lucky to be there.”

Interestingly, Thor actor, Chris Hemsworth, also said he hasn’t seen the script but that’s the way Marvel way: “No. [It’s] a little nerve-racking a couple weeks out, isn’t it? But this is the way Marvel does it.”

Avengers plus the Guardians? That’s good enough for us…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
