Star Wars: Episode VIII was supposed to be filming in Skellig Island in Ireland (here) this week but bad weather (in Ireland!? Shocker) has held production up for a few days…
However, The Irish Examiner is reporting that Mark Hamill is expected to be on the island to film new scenes in the island which also features in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
While nothing is yet known about Episode VIII except that it looks like Benicio Del Toro will be a bad guy in it (here), it’s directed by Looper’s Rian Johnson (here) and it’s due for release on May 26th, 2017, it’s interesting that Hamill may be back…
Will we see him unscathed? Could he be a villain this time out (there have been rumours) or will he perhaps go all Obi-Wan and be a Force Ghost?
Only time will tell, but we’re relieved he’s back, or potentially back at least, are you?
Sound off in the usual ways.
