A new rumour from Beyond the Trailer (below) critic Grace Randolph could hit at big things in the Suicide Squad sequel.
Randolph has a chequered history with reports like this, but if she’s right the movie will see the Squad face-off again Amazo – the world’s first fully-functioning android – who has the ability to mimic the abilities of any meta he comes across – could this be the role that Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista was up for?
Anyway, on top of this, the movie may also feature Zatanna, Raven and Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl.
Now, these names are interesting because Zattanna is a core member of the Justice League Dark with John Constantine, Etrigan, Swamp Thing and Deadman. Raven is a core member of the Teen Titans and Supergirl is, well, Supergirl.
Why is this interesting? Because Justice League Dark, Teen Titans and Supergirl are all movies at various stages of development in the DCEU. Could James Gunn’s movie be being used as a back door introduction to these characters?
It’s hardly a new concept in comic book movies, but these are all characters I’d love to see introduced on the big screen universe.
So, Amazo, Zatanna, Supergirl and Raven all up for the grabs in the movie… does this grab your attention?
