Tucker & Dale Vs Evil 2 IS happening! Best news of the day…

Tucker & Dale Vs Evil is a genuine diamond in the rough. I belongs with movies like Army of Darkness, Bubba Ho-Tep, Tremors and Big Trouble In Little China. It’s gory, hi-concept to the point of insanity and brilliant on almost every level.

And it’s getting that long-rumoured sequel.

Tucker and Dale themselves, Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk have announced at Horrorhound in Cincinnati, OH, that they have been contacted by the producers and the sequel is pretty damned close to being greenlit.

Woot!

The actors admit they didn’t think it was ever going to happen, but they got an emial saying:  “We have an outline, we’re honing in on who we want to write it, we really want to make another one.”

Labine said: “We’ll never make a shi£@y sequel.”

Does that mean they’ll not sign up if they don’t love the script? We’ll have to wait and see but after the original movie saw them being hunted by a bunch of students, could the rumoured Tucker & Dale Vs University be the direction of part 2?

Only time will tell, but we’re officially excited.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
