UK top ten box office countdown (WE 14th April 2014)

April 17th, 2014 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Well those animated birds of Rio 2 couldn’t hold on to the top spot for a second week as the good old captain managed to wrestle away the top prize as Captain America: the Winter Soldier is now back at number one.

Three new movies decided to battle it out within the bottom half of the chart. Firstly, going in at number eight was insane martial art action sequel The Raid 2, one spot above that was dark comedy drama Calvary at number eight and the final new entry went to horror film The Quiet Ones which went in at number five.

New Releases – I doubt Captain America will be sitting on top of the chart next week as it has stiff competition with the release of Amazing Spider-man 2. A couple of other films you might be interested in are British comedy The Love Punch and thriller Locke.
