I wish I could say I hadn’t seen this coming, but I had, sadly.
It looks like Venom 2 – now called Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage – has finally buckled under the pressure of that damned virus and is moving from its 2020 release date.
The movie, from Sony pictures, was looking like it would hold on to its October release date but now it has officially been announced that, no, it’s now set for release on June 25th, 2021.
Arse.
The movie will see Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock/Venom go up against Woody Harrelson’s Carnage – another symbiote like Venom only with a much larger thirst for blood and mayhem and, honestly, I was really looking forward to seeing it this Halloween.
But, alas, it’s not to be as it joins James Bond, Black Widow, Ghostbusters and many, many more jumping to 2021 thanks to that damned virus.
What say you all? Are you disappointed about the move or are you happy to wait? Or maybe you weren’t going to see it anyway… I want to hear it all, folks.
