Soul, Mind, Time, Space, Reality and Power. Each one of these are powers contained within the infinity gems. So far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe we have been introduced to four of them: The Tesseract from The Avengers, the gem in Loki’s sceptre, The Aether from Thor: The Dark World and the gem in Guardians of the Galaxy.
On top of all of this, we have seen the gauntlet that unites these six gems in both the first Thor film and in the Post Credits scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Presumably, Thanos (the purple guy) must have got his hands on it in between these films.
However, according to the producer of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Kevin Feige, this is not the case!
In a recent interview Feige stated that: “There are two different gloves. That was not Odin’s vault that you see at the end”.
This opens up many possibilities; however, I have a theory as to why this might be. I think that Odin believes he has the Infinity Gauntlet locked away and that Thanos actually has the real one. We won’t have to wait much longer to get the answer. Phase 3 of the Marvel films is set to begin very shortly, and with it, the road to Avengers: Infinity War.
