Ok, full disclosure, I’m not much of a horror movie guy, not because I’m afraid of them, just because so very, very few of them are any good.

And I’d seen the posters and images for Smile in various cinemas over the last few weeks but it wasn’t until I saw the first trailer that I paid attention because, well, it looks scary as heck and has a final shot that actually made me jump… and that happens rarely these days.

I’m not telling you if the shot is in this final trailer. God speed, gentle viewer.

After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter (Sosie Bacon) starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality.

Starring: Sosie Bacon, Jessie T. Usher, Kyle Gallner, Robin Weigert, Caitlin Stasey with Kal Penn and Rob Morgan

Written & directed by: Parker Finn

SMILE IS ONLY IN CINEMAS SEPTEMBER 28th

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
