Hasbro reveal new Gen 1 looking set of Transformers Dinobots and we’ve already contacted the bank manager

September 8th, 2017 by Marc Comments

Ever since I was a kid I’ve wanted a full set of Generation 1 Transformers Dinobots. When I was a little ‘un I had Snarl and my best mate had Grimlock.

That was as close as we ever got to the whole gang… living in Ireland at the time some of the toys were VERY tough to get and the Swoop figure became almost literally the stuff of legend.

Well, if like me, you’ve always wanted a set of G1 Dinobots then have we got news for you!

All the way from Hascon 2017 Hasbro have released the images of their Power of The Primes figures and, you guessed it, there’s a new set of Dinobots!

The figures include:

Voyager Class Grimlock
Deluxe Swoop
Deluxe Snarl
Deluxe Slug
Deluxe Sludge
Legends Slash
Leader Class Evolution Optimus Prime
Prime Master Micronus

There’s no official release date at the minute but we’d be surprised if we didn’t see these on shelves – or more likely on eBay for stupid money – by Christmas:

Here’s the images:

Thanks to the guys at TFW we have this early stage, painted look at the Combiner Dinobots and it looks awesome:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
