Ah, man… and we were just getting over building the LEGO Firehouse!

LEGO have just revealed the all new Ecto-1 from the Ghostbusters reboot along new mini-fig, Ecto-2 and a ghost (demon?) and despite any mis-givings we have had, it looks great!

The new set, which will be available on July 1, features the ECTO-1 car, the ECTO-2 bike, as well as five main minifigures: Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy), Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig), Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon), Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones), and Kevin (Chris Hemsworth), who sports a two-sided head — one for his regular look and the other for his “possessed” look. Perhaps the possession is linked to the character behind the sixth minifigure, known only as a Daemon.

And for the real Ghostbuster aficionados, the ECTO-1 does actually roll, and also features side doors and a top that opens to house four minifigs. The back also opens, offering room for accessories, like the four proton packs and traps included in the set, which retails for $59.99.

Well, it looks like Hemsworth is officially part of the team at some point (as we reported long, long ago). Oh and it looks like he does a Ray from Ghostbusters II and allows himself to be possessed at some point.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
