Relax, the next wave of 6inch Star Wars Black Series aren’t cancelled…

The Star Wars Black Series 6 inch scale figures have been very popular in the toy and Star Wars communities, although there have been some hiccups along the way with poor and minimal paint application and poor sculpts on some designs.

The latest hiccup however had me a little concerned – I shouldn’t have been though. It was a little over-the-top journalism that got me with headlines like: “Star Wars Black Series Commander Cody wave pulled!”

Firstly, relax.

This wave has not been pulled. Which is great, because I’m really looking forward to this one! It seems it was a simple error of retailers becoming a little over excited. They put the listings up before Hasbro wanted them to, so they’ve been taking them down but should be putting them up again on May third. If you’ve made a pre-order already, relax, it’s safe and will be honoured, it’s just on hold.

Just to re-cap this wave: we’re getting Leia in her Boushh disguise from Jedi (thank the maker, because that Slave Leia from wave one is so poor); Commander Cody from the prequels (as crappy as the prequels are, I always loved the design of the clones) and bounty hunter IG-88 who will look awesome beside Boba Fett, Greedo and Bossk (and I guess Leia with the helmet on).

Here’s a little reminder…
