We posted the (pretty impressive) trailer for The CW’s latest DC show Black Lightning a few days ago (here) along with the news that the show will, unlike Arrow, Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow, won’t be part of The CW’s shared universe.
And, we’ll not lie, this let us down a little because we’re loving the ever-growing ‘Arrowverse’.
However, it seems that all may not be lost.
We know in the original article we said that CW chief Mark Pedowitz said: “Black Lightning, at this time, is not part of the Arrowverse,” and we focused on the ‘for now’ part but it seems that there’s still a chance that, at some point, we might see Black Lightning confirmed as part of the world of all the other heroes.
Black Lightning star Cress Williams has been talking about the world of The CW and said of his show’s future: “I think it would be interesting down the line. Eventually we’re going to have probably three superheroes on our show with me and the daughters. Once we become some kind of team, it would be great to go as a team onto another show. It’s going to be fun developing that, because with every good thing, there’s going to be a lot of wrinkles.”
Man, we’d be delighted to have that happen!
