Brandon Routh & Tyler Hoechlin suit up as Superman (Supermen?) for Crisis on Infinite Earths

Legends of Tomorrow star  Brandon Routh has shared a new image of himself and Tyler Hoechlin suited up for the Arrowverse Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event as… Superman.

“Grateful to share the #Arrowverse as #Superman for a short time with the charming & gracious [Tyler Hoechlin],” wrote Routh.

“I never really thought I’d get to meet #Superman in person… Gotta say, it’s all it’s cracked up to be!”

In the event it’s expected that Routh may not be the Superman he previously played in the movie Superman Returns, but rather the Kingdom Come Superman, a more powerful and pissed off version of the character.

Whatever he plays, it has us excited as all heck.

Crisis on Infinite Earths kicks off Sunday, December 8th on Supergirl, then continues with a Monday episode of Batwoman and that Tuesday’s The Flash. After a month-long holiday break, it concludes with the Jan. 14 episode of Arrow and a special instalment of Legends of Tomorrow.

And just for fun, here’s Routh suited up as Clark Kent on Crisis… looks like he got a promotion over at the Daily Planet!

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
