David Ramsey returns to Arrowverse with appearance in multiple shows

December 1st, 2020 by Marc Comments

Oooooh… Arrow may be gone, but one of that show’s biggest stars, John Diggle AKA actor David Ramsey is set to return to the Arrowverse in a big way.

The star is set to direct five episodes of The CW’s DC universe including Superman & Lois and Supergirl… but even more exciting, he’s set to star in five episodes across the whole Arrowverse with appearances in Superman & Lois, Supergirl, The Flash and Batwoman and, most exciting of all, he’s set for a mystery role in Legends of Tomorrow.

The actor has directed in the Arrowverse before.

So… theory time: fans will recall the last time we saw Diggle was in the Crisis On Infinite Earths event at the start of this year (before it all went a little ka-ka) and in that we saw him find a green, glowing ring… presumably paying off the years of speculation that Diggle was a Green Lantern which was then pretty much confirmed when we learned his real name was John Stewart.

So… I’m going to bet that we will see Diggle become Green Lantern across all these shows with the final big reveal being saved for Legends. It actually makes sense if you think about it… a Latern pulling all the shows together? It also means that we can have a crossover event without going all-out like they have in previous years.

I like it. I also hope Ramsey gets the pay-off he deserves… and maybe leads into the HBO Max Green Lantern series? We can but hope (more here).

“To say I’m excited beyond belief to return to the Berlantiverse would be an understatement. I can’t wait to continue telling these stories,” said Ramsey.
