DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season finale will feature a “much loved DC character”… but who?

With DC’s Legends of Tomorrow renewed for a second season (yay!) we’re hoping to get an idea of where it’ll go next year and it seems we may get a hint in the season one finale.

TVLine are reporting that the cast will remain mostly the same next season and won’t be changed as we’d heard rumours of before, but we might end up meeting a familiar face at the end of this year who will lead to changes next year: “Rumor has it the final scene of Legends of Tomorrow’s May 19 season finale will introduce a ‘beloved superhero from the DC canon’ whose mysterious agenda serves as ‘a launching off point for Season 2.'”

Who could it be? Well, we’re hearing rumours of Booster Gold or perhaps Blue Beetle because of the time-travel angle but we’re not entirely sure this is what’ll happen.

Also, let’s not forget that The Legion of Superheroes have been teased in Supergirl and The Flash, so that could be the answer. Our own Shane thinks perhaps Wesley Dodds or golden age Sandman.

Of course, we might think bigger – perhaps Batman or Superman? They were, after all, teased by Rip Hunter earlier this season.

Or, and this is our favourite theory, it could be the return of John Constantine.

Hear us out.

It says “DC Canon”, which could be the Arrow-verse canon, not the comics. And it says “introduce” – Constantine hasn’t met this team or appeared in this show, so that still holds true.

He’s beloved – we reckon the fact that he was brought into the Arrow universe after the show was cancelled is testimony to that.

He’s got a “mysterious agenda” and we reckon Oliver Queen’s reference to him being trapped in Hell earlier this season in Arrow might tie into it.

Not to mention the fact that he was rumoured for Legends Season 2 months ago and we reckon he’s back.

Or we might be totally wrong. It could be Bat-Mite.

Who do you think? Let us know…

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
