Get ready for the new daily show

GEEKED WEEK 2022: Alice in Borderland season 2 coming this year (hopefully)

June 7th, 2022 by Marc Comments

More great news from Geeked Week 2022 as Netflix reveals that we’re all heading back to Tokyo for a second season of Alice in Borderland.

The first season saw a group of friends stumble into a mysteriously deserted Tokyo, only to find out they were inexplicably part of a game that spanned the whole city… what is the game? Who is doing it? Where is everyone else? It’s all part of this show’s fun mystery and it’s not entirely unfair to say that in many ways, Squid Game stole this series’ thunder.

Again, the second season will primarily on Ryohei Arisu and Yuzuha Usagi – pictured above and below – and how they aimed to survive in a whole new set of games.

I stumbled upon this series after it popped up on my recommended list having watched Squid Game and it was a riot of a show and I can’t wait to see what happened next; having never read the Manga, I have no clue where the series is going and I love that!

As of now, there’s no release date but it is set for this year we think. Love it!

Eighteen-year-old Ryohei Arisu is sick of his life. School sucks, his love life is a joke, and his future feels like impending doom. As he struggles to exist in a world that can’t be bothered with him, Ryohei feels like everything would be better if he were anywhere else. When a strange fireworks show transports him and his friends to a parallel world, Ryohei thinks all his wishes have come true. But this new world isn’t an empty paradise, it’s a vicious game. And the only way to survive is to play.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
