Remember last year when Harley Quinn made a brief – but very fun – cameo in Arrow? Well, that’s all we’ll be seeing of her in the Arrow universe, it seems.

With the new Suicide Squad episode (Arrow s03 e17 – Suicidal Tendencies) we’ve been wondering if perhaps we’d see Harley return. But it seems it’s not to be.

Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim has said that Arrow can’t use the character of Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel again.

Why? Well, it’s because of David Ayers’ Suicide Squad movie and, interestingly, also Fox’s Gotham.

So, what we’ve seen if her is all we will see in the series. We’re also curious by Guggenheim’s reference to Gotham… will we see a young Harleen at some point in that show too?

Given how many classic Batman characters have appeared in the series so far, we wouldn’t rule out a young Harley appearing at some point; perhaps in season 2.

Arrow returns with all new episodes, March 18th at 8PM on The CW.

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife.
