If, like me, you’re really missing Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton’s Inside No 9, then you will welcome this news.

While the show ended earlier this year, on BBC2 on Sunday 22nd December at 9pm we’re getting an hour-long documentary about the series called The Party’s Over.

Now, there are a lot of fans online who are hoping this might be a secret episode and given the show’s history and how it pulls the wool over our eyes on the regular, I certainly wouldn’t rule it out but for now, either way, I’m looking forward to going behind the door at No 9 one last time.

Russell T Davies doesn’t sound so sure Doctor Who will get a third series anymore

Offical synopsis:

The door may have closed on Inside No. 9, but there’s still time to venture behind the scenes. This documentary tells the story of one of TV’s darkest and most celebrated comedies, featuring cast interviews and extensive candid moments with creators Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton. Cameras are admitted everywhere throughout the making of the show’s final series, from the writers’ room to the make-up trailer, from prop store to set design, making this the perfect farewell to the multi-award winning series.

See you all in front of the TV on Sunday.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
