Ok, I’m not going to lie, I’ve had a biggest crush on Jewel Staite since she first fixed that only Firefly ship. And, as it happens, as much as I love most genre TV, I have to say that Arrow and Flash are definitely my favourite shows right now.
So imagine how excited I am for Legends of Tomorrow and now, just when I thought I couldn’t be more excited for it, it’s announced that Staite will be in it!
TVLine are reporting that the actress will play a character called Rachel Turner: “a tech genius/roboticist who exists in a future in which technology has an even firmer grip on our lives than it does today.”
The actress will appear in episode ten of the show and is a descendent of a DC character… although who is a mystery. Could it be Felicity, perhaps? We don’t know. What we do know is that she “believes that her creations can make that world a better place,” but villain Vandal Savage will turn them to evil.
It’ll be great to see her in the DC TV universe, no matter what the capacity… here’s hoping it’s more than just a ‘guest appearance’.
Legends of Tomorrow premieres on the CW on Thursday, Jan. 21 at 8 PM ET.
