We learned in October last year that the MCU had found its Ms Marvel (here) in the form of 16-year-old Iman Vellani.
The actress will portray Kamala Khan in the upcoming Disney+ series which is currently filming in Atlanta, Ga, and the first images have appeared.
If you click the link at the bottom of the page, you can see loads of images of the young actress in the new hero outfit, left, and we have to say, it looks pretty damned accurate to what’s on the page; it’s clear that the Disney+ shows are very keen on giving the Marvel characters their comic accurate outfits as we’ve seen so far in WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
And, am I wrong, or is this the first character in the MCU so far to wear a proper domino mask?
Kamala Khan is “a Pakistani-American teen based in New Jersey. Ms. Marvel first appeared in 2014 as Marvel’s first Muslim character to star in her own title, and she will become Marvel Studios’ first onscreen Muslim hero. Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has said that in addition to appearing on the small screen, Kamala Khan will be included in future Marvel films.”
So, what do you think of the casting and outfit? We think it looks spot-on so far… let’s hope the series does it justice. Thoughts?
