Runtimes revealed for Game Of Thrones’ final season

January 25th, 2019 by Marc Comments

You’re going to need to get comfy and stick the kettle on, because – as expected – the final season of Game of Thrones may only be on for six-weeks but it’s going to be covering a lot of sitting time.

At the weekend Orange Cinéma Séries, a group of French TV channels, held an event showing off some of its upcoming content, which includes – shock, horror!, Game of Thrones:

Here’s what we learned of their running time:

Episode 801: 60 minutes
Episode 802: 60 minutes
Episode 803: 80 minutes
Episode 804: 80 minutes
Episode 805: 80 minutes
Episode 806: 80 minutes

That means that, although several episodes shorter, the final season will run just a couple of minutes shorter than season 7.

On top of that, many channels run ads, so the final three episodes will be on TV for an hour-and-a-half all inclusive.

So far Season 7 Episode 7 was the longest running at 81 minutes, so given that the times above are likely only guesstimates, we can expect the final three to be similar in length.

The more, the merrier, that’s what we say when it comes to GoT.

What about you all?

Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
