Get ready for the new daily show

The Big Bang Theory will officially end next season…

August 23rd, 2018 by Marc Comments

Well, we suspected this day may never come… but here we are.

The Big Bang Theory is coming to an end.

Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady and Steve Molaro’s hit show is TV’s longest-running multicamera comedy in history with 279 episodes but will end with its upcoming twelfth season.

WBTV and Chuck Lorre Productions released a joint statement:

“We are forever grateful to our fans for their support of The Big Bang Theory during the past twelve seasons. We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show’s success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring The Big Bang Theory to an epic creative close,”

The show will come to an end in May 2019.

While the Nerd community have a very love/hate relationship with The Big Bang Theory but whatever your feelings, you can’t deny it’s been a big part of the culture for over a decade so it will be weird not having it around.

For better or for worse.

Thoughts?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
