The Walking Dead TV series and comics came crashing together again this week as Aaron, played by Ross Marquand, popped up just before the credits…
Fans of the comics will remember that Aaron – SPOILERS – is a recruiter for the Alexandria Safe-Zone. This was a location just outside Washington, where, you will remember, Rick and the TV characters are heading in the hope that there’s salvation there. – SPOILERS END
Aaron appears at the end and asks to speak to Rick; Marquand himself explains that Aaron has been following them for a while: “He’s been following this group, whipping out his spy gear to some degree. He’s been tracking the group for a while and getting a vibe from them and getting the dynamics of leadership from them and how they work together—and that’s extremely important to him.”
With speculation rife that Negan is coming this season (here), the inclusion of Alexandria Safe-Zone would certainly back that up…
In other Walking Dead news, did Deadite Ash from Evil Dead 2 appear in this week’s episode? The scene took place around the 12 minute mark and we reckon someone on the show is a fan of everyone’s favourite zombie/demon killer.
Groovy.
