Those of you with a long memory will recall that waaaaaaaay back in 2021 I reported that The Batman writer Mattson Tomlin, along with Skydance and Netflix, was penning a Terminator anime series (here).
And that was it.
Until now.
At the time, Mattson wrote of the project: “Anyone who knows my writing knows I believe in taking big swings and going for the heart. I’m honored that Netflix and Skydance have given me the opportunity to approach Terminator in a way that breaks conventions, subverts expectations and has real guts.”
That’s the stuff we like to hear at FTN HQ. And now, finally, we have a teaser to prove that the series is, indeed, coming.
You can watch the teaser below from Geeked Week 2023 and, like us, hope that, after a series of embarrassing entries in The Terminator franchise, this series might be the one that makes the series matter once more.
