While we sit and wait for the planned sequel to Will Smith and Joel Edgerton starter, Bright, Netflix is giving us some new anime this October to expand that movie’s universe.
The trailer and poster have dropped for Bright: Samurai Soul, which ‘revolves around Izou, a Ronin, and Raiden, an orc, who work to bring a young elf girl and the wand she carries to the land of the elves in the north during the early years of Japan’s Meiji Restoration.
There’s not a lot known about the movie yet but we know the main cast features Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu in the role of Izou, the one-eyed wandering samurai alongside Fred Mancuso as the orc Raiden and Yuzu Harada as the elf Sonya.
I really liked Bright and I have enjoyed the recent anime tie-ins from Netflix so let’s hope this one lands too.
Thoughts? Have you seen Bright? Do you want to see more of that world? Let me know your thoughts, folks.
the world of BRIGHT is expanding
