With the majority of the movies and festivals in the world currently on hold due to COVID-19, gamers are one of the few groups that have yet to be interfered with.
Unfortunately all that may be coming to an end as the first games have been put on hold.
The Last of Us Part II is the first game to feel the sting of the virus, which is a little ironic since the game is all about surviving in a post-apocalyptic world… something that the game itself can’t do.
On top of this, Marvel’s Iron Man VR is also on hold until the pandemic can be contained, this is a shame since this could have been one of the best PlayStation VR games to come onto the market.
While these are the first games to be on hold because of that damned virus, other companies are starting to feel the sting, Square Enix has already shipped copies of one of the most anticipated games of the year FF VII.
Some countries such as my own here in Australia are lucky enough to be getting the game a full nine days early and I myself will be picking up my copy today.
A little word to all gamers, I would strongly suggest buying digital copies of games if you can and don’t leave the house, unless it’s to pick up supplies, this way we can help stop the spread.
I hope you all stay safe and prepared for anything that may come, until next time… stay nerdy folks.
