Could the Netflix MCU characters appear in third Avengers movie?

We already know that Thanos is coming and he’s planning on causing a lot of trouble right here on earth in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War (still to be renamed)…

And we know he’ll be facing The Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel and – most likely – Doctor Strange.

But what about the characters from the MCU’s TV universe?

Netflix and Agents of SHIELD are both fighting hard to be part of that universe but for it to really happen, we need to see them in the movies. And if that’s going to happen, we’d imagine a toe-to-toe with Thanos is the most likely place.

“We do consider everyone,” says co-director Anthony Russo when asked about Netflix characters like Daredevil, Luke Cage or Jessica Jones: “We don’t want to get too specific about what’s going to happen with these movies. We want these movies to be a surprise for audiences,” he continues.

We’d lose our minds if, during the smackdown with Thanos, we saw Iron Man knocked out of the sky, Thanos is about to deal the death blow and BOOM! His fist is stopped by… Jessica Jones and Luke Cage (You can have that, Marvel)!

You know the crowd would lose their collective minds and, not for nothing, while SHIELD isn’t on the same level of awesome as the Netflix stuff, we would also really like to see Quake or Ghost Rider in there as well.

You know you would too.

Do you think Anthony Russo is saying there’s a chance of the TV universe smashing into Thanos? Honestly, we do… and more that that, we really hope so.

Let us know your thoughts, guys.

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
