We reported ages ago that Time After Time was picked up for TV and now we have confirmation that the pilot is ordered.
The concept is based on Karl Alexander’s book and also on the ‘so nuts it’s brilliant’ movie of the same name which stars Malcolm McDowell as HG Wells who has built a time machine that was stolen by David Warner’s Jack the Ripper (we know, right?). Jack travels through time to kill people who Wells follows stopping him in a second machine.
Trust us, if you haven’t seen it, we recommend you find a copy ASAP.
Anyway, Scream’s Kevin Williamson will write the pilot (and maybe more) which has been put into production.
No more word at the minute but this could either be brilliant or truly awful, only time (ahem) will tell.
