So, you may remember a couple of weeks ago we speculated that Vixen, Megalyn Echikunwoke, might become part of Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 (here)?
Well we were partly right, it seems.
It looks like Vixen IS set to join the Waverider next season, however it won’t be the same actress.
Word is that due to scheduling issues Echikunwoke can’t join the crew next season so a new Vixen will be cast. However, it will be a different version of the character – possibly an earlier version of her – the Vixen’s powers come from a mystical necklace, so Mari McCabe need not be the only version of her as others may come before… and after.
The actress will still be available to play Vixen in CW Seed’s animated series where she first began.
This is a clever strategy as it means McCabe’s version and whoever the new one is can co-exist and pop up as and when it suits.
