Tonight’s almost the night…

The teaser for Dexter: Resurrection season 2 is here, and it has our favourite serial killer needing glasses because age is finally catching up with his eyesight, it seems.

On top of this, we have learned a few cool new details about season 2, which I will list below, but skip if you don’t want spoilers:

  • Season 2 is set three years later
  • Harrison (Jack Alcott) is now 21 and is a cop
  • Dexter (Michael C Hall) is having a midlife crisis
  • There are four new serial killers, with X-Men and Manhunter star Brian Cox playing The New York Ripper, Abigail and Godzilla X Kong star Dan Stevens playing the Five Boroughs Killer, Agents of SHIELD and The Last of Us’ Gabriel Luna is the Sleepy-Eyed Strangler and Krysten Ritter returns from season one as Lady Vengeance
  • Uma Thurman returns as Charley
  • Original series star Desmond Harrington is back as Joey Quinn, who will likely be tracking down Dexter after the events of last season.
  • The plot will see Kadia Saraf returning as Detective Wallace, who will be working with Harrison (how’s that for a change?) tracking down the NY Ripper who, coincidentally, is also being hunted by Dexter

Tidbit:

First look at Dan Stevens as The Five Borough Killer, who kills people in each borough of NYC. Also, we have a first look at Gabriel Luna as the Sleepy-Eyed Strangler, who breaks into people’s homes, moving things aroound in order to scare people before he kills them.

He’s back and sharper than ever.

Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection premieres October 30

Also, with Dexter celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, we have a new poster and a trailer for the whole series so far.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
