Fire up the Fiat Cinquecento one more time; The Inbetweeners are returning to your screens!

We’ve known for a while now that the hit 2000s series about four teen friends and their unlucky adventures in life, love and everything in between, was coming back, but now Netflix has confirmed that the third movie is officially in production.

Airing between 2008 and 2010 here in the UK, the hit comedy series had three seasons and two movies in 2011 and 2014 and while the second movie was a poor imitation of the greatness that came before, it’s going to be fun having Will MacKenzie, Simon Cooper, Neil Sutherland and Jay Cartwright back, no longer as teens, but as grown men trying to make their way in the world.

Oooooh… Dan Stevens IS Robocop in Amazon’s new series UPDATED

Judging by the very NSFW teaser (below), it seems that maybe this movie will see our hopeless heroes embarking on a road trip in their banged-up old Fiat.

In a recent statement at the show’s return, Creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley said: “It’s incredibly exciting to be plotting more adventures for our four favourite friends (ooh friends).”

While we live in an age of reboots and revisiting old characters, it’s hard not to be excited each time something like this is announced and I can’t help but feel that these three characters might just have more to say in adulthood; after all, we saw that they had plenty to say about their teen years.

So, am i skeptical? Well, yes, a little, but I’d be a liar if I said I wasn’t curious to see what the next chapter looks like for these friends.

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
