The Mandalorian Season 2 to feature Captain Rex? And is Jamie Lee Curtis joining the Star Wars family?

April 1st, 2020 by Marc Comments

Ooof, we have some cool speculation – and some news too –  for The Mandalorian Season 2.

First up, with the addition of Star Wars fan favourite Ahsoka Tano to the second season in the form of Rosario Dawson (here), co-showrunner and showrunner of The Clone Wars and Rebels, Dave Filoni, put up this image on his Twitter:

Now, the image may be nothing but depicting Ahsoka Tano and clone Captain Rex has got the fans very excited. Could this mean we may also see Rex in season 2? After learning that Rex is actually pretty-much retconned into the official Star Wars movie lore (here), it certainly would make sense and it would be something many fans – myself included – would love to see. I assume Temeura Morrision would be stepping up – we know he wants to (here). That would be soooooooooo cool.

Worth noting too that word is Disney+ could be bringing us an Ahsoka series too (here).

In other Mandalorian rumour news, could one of cinema’s most kick-ass ladies be joining the Star Wars universe?

MakingStarWars are reporting that the legend that is Jamie Lee Curtis has been spotted in the filming location of The Mandalorian. From Halloween to Star Wars? I’m on board for that.

Now, there’s nothing more I can add to this but how cool would Curtis be in ANY role?

And finally, we revealed a few days ago that Terminator/Aliens star Michael Biehn is joining The Mandalorian as a bounty hunter from the Mando’s past (here) and now we know what he’ll look like.

The look is pretty cool with a suit that seems to be pretty much made up of Imperial garb… is he an ex-Imperial? Has he just collected pieces as he went? Or is it something else? Whatever it is, Biehn is going to nail it…

That’s all the Mandorian news for tonight but as awesome as Season 1 was, it looks like Season 2 is going to top it.

Welcome back Star Wars excitement. I missed you.
